Certification
Wildwood Outdoor Education Center is proud to be accredited
by the American Camp Association. This nationally recognized
program focuses on program quality, health and safety, and
requires us to review every facet of our operation. It is a
mark of distinction. Rules for acceptance and participation are
the same for everyone regardless of age, sex, color, race,
handicap, or national origin. We will make every reasonable
effort to meet the needs of all those who participate. If your
child has a disability and you have questions or concerns,
please call 913-757-4500.Health and Safety
At the heart of everything we do at
Wildwood is the safety of each camper we serve. All summer
staff members have basic first aid and CPR training. Certified
lifeguards are posted at pool and waterfront areas, and our
health manager treats minor ailments in a well equipped
infirmary. A doctor and emergency room are available 24 hours
a day, just 25 miles away, at the Miami County Medical Center.
Currently, both of Wildwoods Program
Directors are certified first responders.
