Food service employees for the Wildwood kitchen are directly responsible to the Executive Directors. Beginning compensation depends upon experience but is in the range of $6 to $8 per hour. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Representing the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center in philosophy and attitudes in working with all visitors (student and/or adult), teachers, counselors, administrators and members of the Wildwood Board of Directors

Preparing meals and washing dishes for 30 to 110 participants and staff

Willingness to fill in for co-workers during times of personal emergencies or illnesses

Willingness to help prepare the kitchen for use at beginning of season, i.e. giving kitchen and store room a thorough cleaning prior to the first group of the seasons’s arrival. End of the season responsibilities include closing down the kitchen, which involves cleaning out walk-in refrigeration unit, properly storing all remaining food items and kitchen equipment
