High Ropes Course

Known to participents as The "SkyWalker", these activities take one or more participants into the air for a PEAK experience.  Challenges may include walking across cables, balancing on swinging platforms, climbing a wall or zipping off the 200 foot zip wire.  Members of a team can be incorporated into the experience to provide support for each other.  Some activities require participants to physically support partners in order to keep them from falling off the element.  Harnesses and Rope Systems are designed to prevent true falls from occurring and increase participant safety.

Balance Beam – The balance beam is a log hung horizontally between two poles.  The participant traverses from one end of the beam to the other by balancing on the beam.

Dangle Duo – The Dangle Duo is a series of beams hung horizontally to make a free swinging ladder  with rungs that get progressively further apart.  Two participants work together to climb to the top of the swinging ladder.  To be successful, partners work together and support or balance each other along the way

.

Floating IslandsFloating Islands – The Floating Islands is a series of platforms strung between two poles.  A participant traverses from one end of the element to the other balancing on these wobbling and shaking platforms.  This can be used as a two person element to explore partnership and team work in the air.

Giant Swing – The Giant Swing is a pair of cables that come down into a “V” formation.  A participant hooks into the bottom of the “V” and then the group pulls them up (20’ to 30’) into the air towards a distant pole.  When the participant is ready they are released and go swinging through the air.

Team Beam – consists of two logs hung at an angle between two poles in an “X” type fashion.  Encourages two participants traversing from the lower ends of the beams to the high ends of the beam to support and assist each other as they pass in the middle.

Three Line BridgeThree Line Bridge – is a set of three cables supported between two poles, a foot cable and two hand lines.  The participant traverses across the challenge using the hand lines for balance.

CatwalkCatwalk –is a log hung horizontally between twopoles.  The participant traversesfrom one end of the beam to the other by balancing on the beam.

Multivine TraverseMultivine Traverse – consists of a foot cable and an overhead suspension cable with several short ropes hanging down to provide support as the participant traverses from one end to the other.

Two Line BridgeTwo Line Bridge – is a set of two cables, one foot cable and one hand line.  The participant uses the hand line to support and balance themselves as they traverse from one end to the other.

Rappel Wall – After traversing across The SkyWalker, some participants choose to descend by rappelling off of the 30 platform/rappel wall.  The challenge requires the culmination of all skills developed throughout their Wildwood Experience.
