Wildwood Outdoor Education Center
provides outdoor education, team building, and individual skill
development to children and adults from the Kansas City metro
area. Wildwood is unique, in almost every aspect of being an
outdoor education center and a residential camp setting.
Wildwood uses current best practices in: outdoor education,
adventure education and residential camps.
More than 5,500 children and 500
adults experience Wildwood each year. Wildwood programs

and maintain/increase academic knowledge in a safe
environment—and have fun doing it!
At Wildwood,
outdoor education, experiential education and adventure
education is serious business. Our outstanding programs are one
of a kind in the region and utilized by schools, businesses and
families throughout the region. We attribute much of our
success to our dedicated, professional staff. Full-time
directors live at Wildwood year round. This commitment to the
Wildwood Experience ensures the highest quality
programming and facilities.
Our
instructors receive extensive training in outdoor education,
group facilitation, safety and first aid. Certified teachers
and college students in the field of education, recreation,
social welfare and other youth related fields, join the staff
during the operating months of programming.
